Training Area Management

‚ÄčITAM is a component of the SRP (Sustainable Range Program).  Its function is to maintain training land integrity for current future training of soldiers. 

This nations increasing use of its National Guard, emphasizes the need for well-trained soldiers.  The Army relies on land to achieve training and testing objectives and maintain force readiness. 

ITAM's function is to serve the overall needs of the Army by overcoming the seeming conflict between force readiness and land stewardship.  It does so through five different program components:

  • RTLA (Range and Training Land Assessment)
  • SRA (Sustainable Range Awareness)
  • LRAM (Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance)
  • TRI (Training Requirements Integration)
  • GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
